why do you have to put in www.whatever/img to show a pic? How do you show a pic from your comp?[/img][/url]

easiest way is, just go to www.imageshack.us and upload it there, copy the direct image link, then post it [img <url [/img as normal

And obviously, if it was a pic on your comp, no1 else would be able to see it, unless you have a static IP, and allow everyone access to your comp!! (or so im led to believe, just waitin for someone to call me stupid now!! :-p )
