SOE Takeover!

Read the forums for plenty of links, but basically the story is; SOE have already bought out MxO, and they are firing parts of the teams left right and center, including the LET!! This is total crazy bullshit atm, and i dunno whats going on. It's still all rumours atm i think, but a few things i read said that its been confirmed :? Let's just hope that this isn't happening! I love the LET and without them, I dont think I would enjoy this game enough to play anymore TBH.

Just thought I'd give you all a heads up! Post if you have any more info!!

I find this to be good news, I am sure SOE will hire a new LET team, it is all this game has going, so basicly it is what makes the money, and SOE seems to be very interested in profit. Maybe they will make some good changes, they can hardly make it much worse cause the game does kind of suck as it is now (other than being part of the Matrix world of course ;-) ), where did you find this info?

Looks like its on the cards but I suspect the consequnces will not be known for some time and people are just speculating. I can't imagine them replacing the whole team and the LE is a major aspect of this mmorpg?

as a side note TBH i did have concerns at the wisdom of killing off Morpheus to the point he doesn't even welcome new redpills, the movies are the starting point and best advert to attract new players - severing the links even for a short time smacks of shooting the goose that lays the golden eggs?

unfortunately the W brothers aren't as good at writing videogame scripts as they are comics and movies :)

They have little concept of player involvement and attatchment, yet they avoid creating a script as good as (and as non player driven) as the movies.
It's like they between the 2 :P

but tbh I think SOE cud do sum good things to this game. People complain about SWG but it is extremely vast and has alternative gameplay modes to keep people occupied....
SOE cud kick ass, and I suspect the LET would just get replaced with SOELET :)

Seen MxO change hands before and noticed no real difference other than the feel like they rushed its release (remember it used to be Monolith and UBI not Monolith and Sega), if it's going to be Sega and sony that could be good as its two well established companies and they could bring improvments =D or they could just screw it up and turn it into another MMORPG clone, but in its state right now im pretty sure not alot can hurt it... i'm just going to sit back and watch the show and hope they dont entirely ruin another game i enjoy playing.

seems that the rumours of the team being fired are a little misplaced if you believe the FAQ, i'm still sitting back and watching it unfold as you cant believe alot of things people say as they, for whatever reason, like to create rumours.
