If youve seen footage of the Burly Brawl, your'll see why no-onw should buy this game. That just ruined it for me.

combat is alot different from enter the matrix when i get my computer adapdter for my video recorder i will make a video of it and show it to you

played it, the melee combat is okay if a little confusing/ hard to hit off the combos, looks wise... *shakes head* i expected more somehow, the whole game seems to have a "blurry screen to make graphics look better" effect over it, yay for oldschool graphics improvement, also characters seem a little on the uh... shiney side.
Also the cutscenes in between the game play are random as hell, they flick between different scenes of the film (even some MILES ahead of where you are) and dont really have any relevance other than maybe the last clip it shows out of the mish mash of clips with randomly bad placed music.
all in all a bit of a let down =(

yah. if its on the pc u can normally twig that off.
maybe same with the console versions, as i remember they did that to GTA: vice city, but you could still turn off the annoying "drug blur"

I think i might get PoN anyways tbh... even tho enter the matrix was crap i still played it to death. Some how every time I turned it off, it called me back to enjoy some of the sexy kungfu :P

These Matrix things pull you in badly. I didn't enjoy playing ETM that much - verrrry repetitive as all solo kick,shoot and slash linear exploration games are - but goddamn I HAD to finish it... I knew there was an extra scene that related to Revolutions at the end of the game and I played it just to get there. I did find it cool how you playing alongside the Reloaded timeline and was playing it more for the story than the actual gameplay.

I'm not sure PoN is my thing though - there is no furthering of the story and is just a case of playing out the original 3 movie thread. Unless I get to kick the architect's arse when I meet him I'm not sure I'd find it that much fun.

i warn you now, one of the endings that you can achieve is literally a pisstake... dont make me post that ending from putfile (it involves pixelated people taking the piss from the matrix chairs....)

I got the ps2 verson didnt think it looks too bad, there is some nice matrixy touches in it hard to get the combos right, stupid cutscenes lol but i like the matix so i like it. FAR better than Etm

Pong had more depth than ETM, so that's no great feat ;)

And yes Cel I know which ending you're talking about, I won't spoil it either. It's almost worth getting the game just for that.

just bought it and completed the first movie....

Basically the game is a montage, which feels slightly odd to play, and would make the game absolutely meaningless to anyone who hasnt seen the films.

The camera is rubbish, like many 3rd person games. However the combat is very nicely done, even if the gun play lets down the side a little.
It is the most matrixy game to date I have played, and has some cool new areas not included in the films which really do match the style of the movies (and make me wish were in MxO).
The progression of your characters abilities are slow, and even when you become the one, whilst reflexes improve so that you can hit agents more often, you remain otherwise unchanged until you unlock the other abilities.

In anycase, its proving adictive, and I should have completed it by tomorrow most likely :)

I was under the impression that you basically played out the role of Neo through the three movies. Are you now telling me you can alter the history of the matrix?

Can I say to Trinity - "you may want to move seats" as we approach The Machine City?

Its a different ending and there are side missions in between movies.
