I just watched this movie.

Why did no-one tell me about this?

Best movie I've seen in ages.

It has it's faults, I admit (he makes a friend, which kinda dulls the edge a bit), but still, I've not experienced anything quite like it for a long time, probably since Dust Devil. Bleak as fuck.

For those that haven't seen it, see it now, if only so I have someone else who has a clue WTFI'm talking about.

Cinamatography - Don Burgess (Forest Gump - Shit movie, looked great)

Art direction - Christopher Burian-Mohr (Last Samurai - Shit movie, looked great)

Soundtrack - Atticus Ross!!!!! (With Teeth, Year Zero, The Slip, Ghosts I-IV)

For those that need a nudge: Think playing Fallout 3 with Nine Inch Nails "Ghosts" or the quiet stuff from "The Fragile" playing in the background.

Great twist at the end too. I saw it coming, just, but only because I'm otaku as fuck about hunting for the sort of clues that the movie drops throughout so I "get it" before it comes. Shame really, kinda spoiled the surprise! Great nonetheless.

Absolute class.

I've heard terrible things about it so I opted out of seeing it. Hearing such high praise I'l give it a go though this weekend!

I had been avoiding it myself until a friend recomended it to me. One thing that made me smile was a cameo by Frances de la Tour and Michael Gambon as an old couple called Martha and George.

Come to that a surprising number of quality thespians in this. The lead villian's enforcer is played by Ray Stevenson, who was Titus Pullo in Rome. Denzel's friend is played by Mila Kunis, who is currently appearing in Black Swan.

Oh yes, and Tom Waits is in it as a techie/merchant.
