My old sound system is like 15 years old and i realy couldnt stand its distorted, flat sound quality.
Being used to something with a bit more bass, and overall better quality from the system in my car* i figured it would be time to get something a bit more adequate.

Im now a proud owner of a Logitech Z-5500 (http://www.logitech.com/en-au/speakers-audio/home-pc-speakers/devices/224) sound system.
All sorts of fancy stuff, and its realy impressive.
The bass is strong and the speakers are very clear. Oh, and it looks good too. I like it.

Anyone else would like to share his setups? Im sure some of you have some impressive stuff. :)

*System in my car is a bit more... customized
1000W RMS sub (http://www.lanzar.com/itempage.asp?MODEL=MAXP154D) in a custom build case driven by a 800W RMS amp (http://www.discoland.fi/discokanta_display.php?pkey=1111668043).
2 mid-range and high-range speakers HXS 135 ESPRIT (http://www.audioaffinityusa.com/helixsite/helix_speakers_esprit.htm) driven by a H 400 ESPRIT (http://www.audioaffinityusa.com/helixsite/helix_amplifiers_esprit.htm).
Filters, latency and the case optimized for my car.
The components are very good quality for their price. Cost me around 400€ / 333£, but 2 weeks of work.
And yes, im a bit into this sort of stuff, the technical side of it, and no im not a chav xD

Currently building an i5 based media box for a mate (mainly for music, and he's a real audio guy).

It's got one of THESE (http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalog?hl=en&q=xonar&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=12150061145821736264&ei=xZCYTIzvHpa8jAe9xMj3Dw&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=3&ved=0CCEQ8wIwAg#).

It sounds INCREDIBLE!

Yeah, it's the top end Xonar, STX Custom-something-or-other.

We got it from a spec-builder who's upgraded the connectors and op-amps, upping the cost of just the soundcard to about £175.
