Here's an Idea I had and posted on the MxO Boards, but ppl are mean and ignore me, so here!

Another suggestion balancing the main problem between trees. I think this actually would address balancing between more trees than jsut MA and Hacker ->

Say someone has Evade combat loaded, and that takes them to 100% Evade. And then they load up Stand-Off, taking them to 125% (completely made-up figues btw!). An MA comes to attack them and has normal attacking, which would cancel out the 100% Evade in one go (presuming the characters are of Equal level!), then also has Force Combat at about 40% from their MA ability, which would give them 140% Force Combat. I think an interesting, at least, idea would be to see that higher number not jsut knock down the evade shield and bounce off, but go through the shield and straight in to IL. In fact, it would be nice if this was only implemented if the Force Combat was an extra 50% over the level of Evade Combat.

I think this would definately put a new spin on things; You would have less VD (assuming you concentrated on Force Combat now), so a hacker would still Stun/Nuke you if they got their attack in first, BUT this time, an MA (or duelist, etc) can get in there on the first hit now aswell with their buffed Force Combat. This may only cause the Hacker to just roll out and jump away as they often do, but it would be better than it is now. Of course, if the enrage bugs were fixed, then this WOULD make a HUGE difference to the PvP currently. As enrage would allow you to lock the Hacker in IL and finish him off for a change!
It would basically make it an EVEN PLAYING FIELD. Where whoever gets the first hit in a 1vs1 duel would have an equal chance to win as their opposition.

If you wanna be nice and support me on this btw, then go here!

Sure that's how it's supposed to work, no?

Force combat seems to do nothing atm, still bounce off first time, every time.

Well yeah, I always presumed it was supposed to be that way, and I was quite upset when I found out it was like this!! :( But yeah, if it DID work that way, then there just wouldnt be anything to balance really anymore... at least not much!!

It's not a bad idea at all. The best way to test that is using duelist. They get crazy force combat without even trying. There are a lot of duelists out there though and i've never seen someone go right through someones bubble. Would be nice if that did work, but im pretty sure it doesnt at this point.
