View Full Version : What's wrong with these?
They seem ridiculously cheap.
Can anyone see why?
If they're not crap I'll get a couple.

Low end card from a line that's over 6 months old.
I think it's designed to give solid performance for mainstream users and seems to be quite popular.
Given the price, I'd consider it too if I had the money.

Only 32 cores, that's why.
OK, I just saw it myself.
1GB 800MHz DDR2 on that card.
I'd planned to upgrade to 4GB 1066MHz DDR2 board-RAMat the same time.
Pointless to have GFX RAM slower than board-RAM.

Nah other wise I'd have an ATI card they seem to just be ramming as many stream processors as possible onto their cards...to comedy levels
i should edit this to say they do make a difference but it is dependant on the GPU's ability to handle it.
Also the card is quite nice If you are making a media centre PC but not for gaming tbh...for gaming nvidia starts at X600 series [low end] but what I normally use
which brings me to the I stil want a GTX260 (http://www.saverstore.com/product/20021495/Asus-GTX260-PCI-Express-20-896Mb-DDR3-448Bit-2-x-DVI-I-DX101-ENGTX260HTDP896M) although I'd want an MSI BFG or XFX one

That's what I've had for a while now, and for the price (~£140 last time i checked) it's absolutely brilliant!
