Rules
• Respect
Members of Causality must display respect to both members and non-members at all times, even under provocation. Respect is one of the foundations of our faction, and it is extremely important that this is maintained. Calling people noobs, gloating over opponents etc are examples of exactly the kind of behaviour causality members are expected to avoid. Breakings of this first and most important rule will be dealt with swiftest and strongest disciplinary action.
• PvP
We encourage intelligent PvP to all of our members. However we do not attack at random. We will kill those that we have had a previous ill-encounter with and those that would attack us or our fellow Merovingianists. If we attempt to roleplay with a member of an opposing organization and they do not comply or reply in an immature fasion we will act upon them.
Once you are above the level 30, we expect you NOT to attack players bellow level 20. All other players are fair game, with the exception of any truces in affect.
When level 50, please avoid attacking a player below 30, unless you have given some prior indication to the player to flee.
All killings should be done respectfully, and Hardline camping is not a respected custom.
NB. These are all guidelines for PvP as understandably sometimes things can get a little crazy!
• Roleplaying
We encourage, but do not require roleplaying. The rule of roleplay is overshadowed by the previous rules, so you may not use it as an excuse to pick on, and/or insult random players.
We request that you do not deliberately interfere with others' roleplaying. Play along or walk away. This is especially applicable to events.
• Recruitment
- All recruits have to post at the forums before/upon being recruited and accepted within the ranks. If the latter, then the new members have one week in which to introduce themselves on the forums.
- All new members have to read and agree to the general faction rules and acknowledge having read it.
- Only Captains and/or FMs are allowed to recruit. Any member who recruits without consent of his captain is given a one-time warning. Repeating the offence may result in expulsion from faction. The 'illegal' recruit(s) will be evaluated by their crew captain (if available), who will decide on the spot wether to keep him/her as a new member. If the recruit is deemed fit to stay, s/he has one week to follow the forum welcoming rule above or be ejected from faction.
- Only Council Members or Commanders are allowed to recruit an entire crew, if you havea ny to put forward however, please contact someone via PM or in-game chat.
In all disciplinary matters, the decision of the council is final. The council reserves the right to alter any of the faction rules or procedures as they see fit.
