QFE. I love the show, and the movie, but for a game? People are gettin too MMO crazy. Companies should back one, and go with it. Developers are being spread too thin.

and visting planets that are set in different "Earth" ages, facing Reapers, fighting the Alliance, keeping your bucket of bolts up in the air, classic pistol fights, space ship fights, hand to hand combat... yes it sounds boring indeed matey. Oh and Joss Whedon stories... like he would let anyone take this show and make it a game without him doing the story.. it was his dream, the only reason he made Buffy and Angel was to one day make Firefly. It got axed, so to carry it on he made a film, got more demand for it but no one will let him make the series again.. what is the other options? Books or games.. which is the future I wonder? lol

I'm with G. If this does ever get made, it'll be just A N other space trading / combat MMO (albeit within a very cool universe).

What makes Firefly as good as it is (was), are the storylines about Serenity's crew. Translating that to an MMO would work as well as The Matrix Trilogy to MxO....and that worked.... :-/

Not neccessarily... look at Starwars. Likewise the majority of Firefly wasnt to do with the ships. If anything itl be more like the new star trek MMO.

We all know MxO was killed by a 3 lettered over powered company, not the franchise of The Matrix Trilogy, the chances that happening to Firefly would be if the said 3 lettered over powered company got the rights to it.... *crosses fingers that it won't happen*

Have to say from reading the article, it sounds to me like they are really not focusing on the space trading and combat, which is fine with me as the genre was old and tired 20 years ago.
