I just don't have enough time to wait 3 hours for summat to upgrade even if you can log off and it still upgrades

That is percisly one of my favorite parts about the game. You just have to learn to manage your skills right. Have a skill that takes 6 hours, set it before you go to bed. Also it is perfect in my case, as due to HUGH projects at work, I have basically zip time to play for a while. So for the meantime I started the largest skills I need (10 days each) and am just going to let those go until I actually have time to log in, so when I do have time I will be good to go. Otherwise, in a grinding game, I would be up the creek (no paddle to be found) because I don't have the time to log in everyday and grind.

I also like the idea that I am "leveling", while technically I don't have to do anything. I am a bit lazy at times (99.95%) and it works out perfectly. = )

When is the graphics upgrade due? And i played the trial for abit but didnt stick with it enough to give it a proper go, and from all the threads around here it does look mighty complicated :/ but ill give it another go near xmas time

It's a complete rebuild, not an update.

Date is currently estimated at End of Nov.

It is complicated. INCREDIBLY.

Xmas would be a good time to give it a go, all the new code should be bedded in by then.

I used to solo L2s in a Standard Launcher-based Kessie.

You just have to pick your missions carefully.

Then again, I'm the psycho that solo'd Gurista's Extravaganza in a Caracal.

I use a Tristan (with MWD, Web, blasters and rockets) for realspace lvl 2s or a Punisher (with AB, Web, Pulse lasers and HUGE Armourtank) for DeadSpace lvl 2s.

That said, if I'm farming them rather than doing it for fun, the Vexor comes out and the swarm get's noisy!

God I'm still on an EvE trial, I really want to play it. I do. Especially seeing these screens, but I'm so addicted to kicking everything's ass in MxO atm... We need those 4-hour MMO timer thingies Koreans have. :(

Uploaded raw at 1400 x 1050 as previously stated.

Inserted using the method described.

Photobucket resizes everything to 800 x 600.

Beneath the UPLOAD segment is a Upload options link.

Mine is set to 800 x 600, anything larger is unnecessary as it breaks the forum.

It's default 800x600.

I changed mine to 1028x768 as the default size loses too much detail for my liking.

Plus I was in a bit pre-occupied uploading my pics so skimmed the posts rather then looking at them properly.

We even got spares for you in the corp hanger so you can get blowed up and not care!

In addition, GRD do a "cost of insurance" ship replacement program.

So come on! The new wardecs are from total noobs, we've only ever seen 'em in cruisers and down.

I read on the EVO boards that after the new engine/Dx10 update and the whole Avatar/Station thing is finished, they'll be moving on to atmospheric flight, as in flying into the atmosphere of a planet. Though it's a very long way off.

How cool would fleet battles in the atmosphere of planets be? Very cool.

Just what I read though, and I tend to believe what I want to hear, not what is going to actually happen. Fingers crossed.

yeh it is on the cards...here's a small demo from last years fanfest...the poor quality is due to the fact that it wasn't frapsed on his own PC, it was recorded via a phone or summat as it was demo'd

also point out that the idea behind atmospheric combat is to give an environment that will either disadvantage your ship in some way or another while gaining one....

Only thing that worries me, is the possibility that current DX10 cards won't be able to run this at an acceptable frame rate.... hell look at all the DX10 patches around that fail to run at a decent fps.

Atmospheric flight...

Enters the atmosphere of a Gas Giant (or so it looked to me), no re-entry friction, no incredible (intolerable?) pressure on a ship designed for internal > external pressures, no aerodynamics, and oh, how nice, our gas giant is full of lovely fractal mountains.

Let's hope some thought is applied to this before they take it further, or better still, they bin it and concentrate on the space fighting / trading game it's meant to be.

Frankly, planetary flight is just unnecessary (just like walking in stations), they should put more work into the game, and leave off all the fluff.

TBH, I suspect I have little positive to say about CCP's development forecasts, none of them seem to start with "First we're gonna fix the weak-ass nodes of Molden Heath"...

We'll see...

Grind COSMOS missions and get high standings for all agents in Boundless Creation, Core Complexion, Republic Fleet, Brutor Tribe, Sebeistor, Minmatar Mining Corp, etc. etc.

6.0 something Can use a level 4 agent there not far off a lvl 4 R&D agent either.
