you see direct2drive is the "sponsor" of the game...
part of the mail:
"KING'S REGIMENTS
This is how the Regimental system works in Carpe Diem. You are hearing it first!
The structure in Carpe Diem is different to other guild systems. We wanted to design a storyline that altered depending upon the actions taken by the players. Central to that are the Regiments, which are player controlled and organised. Here are some of the key features:
*
Every player is assigned to a Regiment once they reach level 20. How active they are in the Regiment is up to them
*
You will be able to swap Regiments if you want to
*
Most Regiments are mounted units
* Regiments are 20-50 players
*
A Regiment is controlled by a Regimental Captain
*
Under him are the ranks of Lieutenant, Warrant Officer, Sergeant etc.
*
Regiments enter dungeons and seek to claim the weapons of legend. They also perform other missions for the King (rescuing villages, defending the fortress, guarding treasure trains etc.)
*
Each Regiment will have its own name and Regimental badge
*
Promotion through a Regiment is a combination of level and honor ranking
*
The highest ranking officer in the field at any time has command of the Regiment
*
There will be Majors, Colonels and Major Generals to control Battalions of Regiments
*
Regiments can revolt and side with Uzziel if they so wish. Or they can turn against both Uzziel and the King and become renegades. Loyal to no-one!
We have tried to give total control of the Regiments to the players. However, their choices will dictate whether or not Uzziel wins control of the Kingdoms!"
and another game from them is "persistent world" which im subscribed to as well ;p
i'm just givin a few games a try...well have fun
