Do your crew find a private section useful?

If so please post here saying that you wish to keep your crew section. If no member of your crew posts within 2 weeks, then you will find your crew section deleted.

This thread exists as some people have told me the only post in their crew section is my initial welcome thread. So it's a waste of database space to have a un-used forum section ;)

Don't delete the Vindication forum! It's a fun place to be, with all those orgy-related topics in there (oops, said to much haven't i? Soon everyone will bug me for access to that one :P )

Seriously, we have some decent topics going on in there atm, and it's only been active for less then a week 8)

Do the crew sections have to private.

I can see a use to having crew sections and not cluttering up main discussion about crew specific stuff - but may be useful to allow all faction members to drop in to each ship to say hi now and then.

Could make the Officers (Cap, FM) of each ship moderators of their own crew sections so it is their responsibility to keep the ship area tidy.

Is there also a way to create a private thread in an area in case captains want to impart secret crew-only info - although I would for the amount of secret crew-only info required that could be done via sending PM's. I can't even think of any situation where you would want to keep secrets from the rest of the faction.

There is a few threads in the Vindication area - but we are new so the novelty of having our own area hasn't worn off yet :)

I can either make the crew sections completely open to the faction, or your FM and capn can currently 'invite' people in by adding their names to the group section.

As for private threads inside open forums, its not really possible, altho I'l have a search for some code to add that can do it :)
