ok ATM I have

Athlon 2600+
nVidia Geforce4 5700le [256mb]
1gb RAM [PC 3200 DDR 400] have a second one not installed seemed to cause issues
60Gb HDD [5400rpm]
400w PSU
standard CDRW
Standard DvD

I figure that altho I Love my PC its time to Slap it up a notch

my budget the happier side of £400

I'm looking for a nice upgrade tho so I'm thinking Just the CPU, GRFX and MOBO so i can join the PCIE generation. so far my Demands have been faced with a £600 price tag

Good choices. Especially that mobo. It's loaded with O/Cing goodness and there's plenty of scope for future additions there.

Those 6800s are very good value for money.

I suggest thinking about a couple of SATA2 drives for a RAID in the future and you can even go up to a FX-60 at some point it being S939.

I would seriously think about stretching to a >500W PSU though. In the long run it'll last longer and save money on replacements.

What? FX60? The money you'd spend on that, you could buy a conroe system (Conroe / Allendale + Motherboard + DDR2)
