okay to the people who caught my demoralising rant i apologise, hackers and the huge unbalance angers me, used to be gunmen back in beta so instead they made hackers too powerful >=(

Anyway my apologies, will probably be back soon and will go mute and level loads, i go a little crazy at times when stuff angers me.

Oh, don't worry about it. It's completely understandable. I myself have been found guilty to similar rants and mood-bombs thingies as well, so lets just hope they never coincide, or faction chat could get ugly :twisted:
So no need to apologise on my account anyway.

On a side note, i've been trying out some different load outs and so far the best anti-hacker load i've found is anything ranged coupled with max vd. ma works too, but with the gimped IL and the ease with which hackers can roll out anytime anyway, theres not much point trying to get them in IL, apart from wasting them a few secs of viral attacks. So ranged works best, but i guess i'm kinda stating the obvious here now. Oh, and knife-thrower can stunlock someone too, so maybe time to give them a taste of their own medicine?

Anyway, i'm rambling and making little sense. haven't slept much lately. lol. so shutting up now.

hehe we all rant from time to time so no probs there Celara, I've taken Veube and Moze to hell and back in the last week or so (they have bee very patient with me ;) )

Don't do anything rash V, we need those damage dealing powers (I'm going to invest in some asap) and as Ad says we need to experiment with combinations of skills to get the job done. Fact is last night we did great ...until we were tempted onto the bridge (from a spy point of view ya cant takea battle where you need to jump in and out.) I still rate the knife skills but 1 on 1 you get owned so it needs coordination and teamworks to pay off.....i think for such little PvP experience we are already giving the dedicated Pvp'ers a headache..... time to up the ante and make them scream!

BTW, there's nothing hypocritical about shouting inbalance while being a hacker. if anything, it makes your statement even more valable and to the point. at least they can't say "you don't know what you're talking about, nub" :lol:

You're actually not the only hacker who thinks 'stun' is overpowered. But fact of the matter is, if we want to be viable in mass PvP, we need 'stun' as well. imbalanced it may very well be, but we'd be shooting ourselves in the foot if we only allowed our enemies to exploit its power, wouldn't you agree?

We might as well all load up grandmaster and charge into a group of 15 lvl50 hackers.. :lol:

And we're not exactly dissing the individual hacker really (at least i'm not). A bit of free fire and a well placed punt will take any hacker down really fast. I do however despise the crap tactic of 5 hackers who just spam area stun all the time. Like Zions tend to do when things don't go in their favour.

I've tried maxing out VD to 400, but it only gives me about 50% chance of deflecting. Seeing the sheer number of hackers throwing stun around, it only helps for about 2 secs till a stun gets through anyway.

IMHO not worth the 30+ (cant remember exact number) memory slots..

Is there another way?

thought the combo of maxing out VD and wearing stuff like the sakura mask did it so you were pretty much unhittable, might be wrong, havent tried it just watched other cookies do it on my old server but stuff changes i guess, will have to see

I'm not exactly sure myself unfortunately. I can only say i tried with the max VD and tho it helps somewhat 1v1 (unless they get lucky and still stun you on first try) in mass pvp i have hardly noticed any diff. I actually get stunned less with minimal VD as a spy (can't stun what u can't see :P )

I do remember reading that VD and VT were capped with a 'recent' patch tho. So it could be possible that the extra vd from clothing doesn't help anymore.

Incidentally, there is a known explot, which gives u 100% VD! Unfortunately, those who know how to do it, aren't telling. They did a test on another server : 5 hackers trying to hack 1 person for 25 mins, with not a single hack going through!! Man, i want that exploit :P

Yus, i agree with needing hackers.

The majority of hackers have very low ranged dmg resistence and with a few duelists and rifleman, they would be down quite quickly.

As for the VD matter, when having it maxxed with additional clothing with VD did seem to help with me. But since just using the abiities for VD and wearing other clothes for other buffs i do seem to get hit quicker.

That night i got annoyed also, but we are learning new things all the time. Plus the fact we were heavily outnumbered.
