So let me get this straight? Following the in-game character and name generators, I end up at --

My name is "Baron Flapsniffer", and I am a particularly troublesome looking purple cat wearing a hawaiin shirt. I am here to stop the "Cogs". Or at least that's what the dodgy looking dog told me with an evil grin, as he showed me his homemade drawing of "Glad... Hander...", a scary looking fellow with giant hands and an almost orgasmic grin on his face. And excuse me, "Bottom Feeder"? You might as well call him "Rimjob" with the amount of subtlety in that!

Oh, and did I forget to mention that the most efficient way of dealing with these scoundrels is to take out my magic bottle, give it a good shake and squirt them in the face with it?

Oh, and just incase you forget, here's a nice 10ft tall illustration from the wall in Toontown HQ.

And let's not forget part of the "Toontorial" --
"Here Baron Flapsniffer, please use some of your quickchat, any one will do" says the creepy blue dog.
"Any one?" I asked.
"Yup, just the first one you see will do!" he cried.

And do you know what happened? I enter my 'quickchat' menu (a list of common chat commands basically) and what is the first thing I come across?

Are you seriously telling me, that you'd give this game to a child?

I've signed up ----

Got three characters -

Crazy Slappy Pepperfoot
Master Fluffy Rhinodoodle and
Little Ladybug Fuzzybrains

My 5 year old loves the PvP if you get up to four players on the trolley to the minigames - it's a fight to get the most points - points make jelly beans - which you then use to buy more squirty gags....

Now I've registered we can apparently get a go-kart from goofy :)

Oh and there's fishing with Elvis fish..

What more could a kid want....

The Death Effect is quite disturbing. You become sad and can only wander round the playground until you find enough icecream to make you happy again.

Here you can see the Death Effect and also the size of community.

I died here from wandering into the higher level zones - I got ganked by 3 level 5 Cogs..... Although almost made it when Princess Foxy Knickerless teamed up with me and was spitting at the Cog.... When you die you are immediately transported to the playground - I suppose this removes all temptation for the rest to call me a n00b d|_|(|<

This looks like it could have been cool if you could have total creativity with the weapons and stuff. calling up Acme and odering a crate of anvils and stuff... As it is it sounds rather lame if all you can have is squirters..... I want to smack people with anvils and watch them run into fake tunnel backdrops while I use them to escape from a particularly nasty fight....

And is there only 3 enemies in total? needs ot have evil dogs and squirils that throw conkers or somthing.....

You underestimate the power of toontown gags. Off the top of my head - there are 8 classes of gags and each gag has 10 levels - which are leveled up by using them - each level brings a new type within the same class. There are doodles (pets which can heal other members of you attack force)

There are numerous enemies and you can team up to claim back buildings from Cogs who have turned them from striking colourful toonbuildings - into dark grey machine buildings.

And you can fish!!!!!!!

:D

Savity JR: Daddy I wanna play Toontown c'mon you've been playing it for six hours now.
Savity: One more miniute son... *Twitch* Just... One... More... Level... *Twitch*

Give the poor fella his game back...

Now I think about it, I am so tempted to sign up to the free trial just to wreak havoc, terrorise, mantally fuck up small children and make them psycologically scarred for the rest of thier lives.

I did my first mission to take back a Cog Controlled Building yesterday. It's basically a survival match. A group go in and attack groups of Cogs. After each round if there are any cogs left standing they get to attack random members of your group.

If all the group survive - then as long as you remembered to bring a patcher (the correct term is a player with the "Toon-Up" skill) then you can all be healed and attack the remaining Cogs.

It can get quite strategic - the best way is to kill off as many as possible without wasting attacks due to overkill. So unless the Cog is very high level you should not all attack the same one. TBH there is more to this game than first meets the eye.

There is a black undercurrent running through from the devs though - seeing as this is aimed at kids and advertised widely on the Cartoon Network during "Ed Edd and Eddy" - I still get a chuckle when I pass the "Silly Stunts" shop - Am I too old for this game?

I also met all the American powerlevelers yesterday when I was "helping" level up my sons toon until 3am this morning. One of them told me "You Stink" when I waved at them. Good job there is no free for all Area Chat out there.

I won't be posting for a week or so - or be in any game at all. I'm off to DisneyLand for half term..

Hopefully when I get back I'll be able to play the grown up games more.....
